Bay Door Clinic is affiliated with the Free Association Clinic for Existential Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis,
a long-established institute in San Francisco dedicated to depth-oriented psychotherapy. For over thirty years,
the Free Association Clinic has helped individuals explore the roots of their suffering—anxiety, depression, trauma,
relational struggles, and deeper existential concerns—through an approach grounded in existential and psychoanalytic traditions.
The Clinic is also home to a rigorous Postdoctoral and Post-MFT Training Program, closely connected to the international
New School for Existential Psychoanalysis, where early-career clinicians receive intensive training and supervision in
depth psychotherapy.
Through this affiliation, Bay Door Clinic is able to offer affordable, sliding-scale sessions with our highly trained
associate clinicians, who bring warmth, attunement, and depth-oriented care.
