Bay Door started with a simple observation: most mental-health care today is built to move fast — to reduce symptoms, hit metrics, and hand people back to their lives. That has a place. But there's a whole other kind of work — the kind that asks why the patterns keep returning, why a relationship feels the way it does, why a life feels stuck — and that work needs a different kind of clinic.

We opened a door on Union Street for the clinicians already doing that work quietly and rigorously across the city, and for the patients who were looking for them. Existential, psychoanalytic, and relational at the core — with structured, identity-affirming, and medication-management options alongside — so every person finds a clinician who genuinely fits.

We're a community, not a directory. Our clinicians consult each other, refer within the group, and hold a shared standard for what depth-oriented care looks like. When you walk through the door — in person or by telehealth — you're meeting a practice, not a platform.
