What we do
Most SF group practices are built on short-term, symptom-focused care. Bay Door is different. The clinic is organized around depth work — existential, psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, relational, and Jungian — with structured and identity-affirming options held by clinicians who also think deeply.
That means care that gets to the underlying question, not just the presenting one. And for clients who want structure or tools alongside, we hold CBT, ACT, EMDR, and IFS too — practiced by clinicians who also think deeply.
Browse by specialty, issue, or approach. All therapists offer compassionate care that meets you where you are.
I've been in therapy before, but this was the first time I felt someone was interested in what was actually going on — not just checking boxes.
The intake felt human. I wasn't shuffled through a system. They took the time to match me with someone I could actually work with.
Our couples work went somewhere the last therapist couldn't reach. Slower at first, then suddenly things we'd been circling for years opened up.
Representative reflections shared with permission. Names and identifying details omitted to protect client privacy.

At Bay Door Clinic, we believe good mental health care should feel accessible, connected, and made for real life — not like a maze of referrals and red tape.
Our team takes the time to ensure care is thoughtful, collaborative, and designed to support you at every stage of life.
